Construction

The reinforcement works will involve trench excavation and the laying of natural gas pipelines on the above streets.  All excavations will be backfilled and all surfaces will be restored. The work will be carried out by contractors GMC and CLG on behalf of Bord Gáis Networks.

Every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum during construction. Local traffic management plans will be put in place on the affected routes. Where necessary all temporary road closures and traffic diversions will be advertised in local newspapers in advance.
