Submit Meter Reading
Dial-A-Read Service (Domestic Customers Only)
If we have left a Dial-A-Read card or you wish to submit the reading from your gas meter to us you can do so using our Dial-A-Read Service:
- Read your meter as explained in Reading Your Meter.
- Once you have taken your meter reading, call our 24-hour Dial-A-Read lo-call number: 1850 427 732 to submit to us your reading. This is an automated service so a touch-tone phone is required to use this service.
- You will be asked to enter your (seven digit) GPRN number. If a Dial-A-Read card has been left, it will be noted by the meter reader on the card (Section 3), If there is no Dial-A-Read Card your GPRN number can be found on your gas supply bill just below your account number.
- This number will be called back to you to confirm it is correct.
- You will then be asked to enter your Meter Read.
- Again this number will be called back to ensure that it is correct.
- If you experience any difficulty during this process you will be transferred automatically to a Bord Gáis Networks customer service agent. If an agent is unavailable you will be asked to leave a message or to ring us back.
Note: Our call centre customer service agents are available from 8.00am to 8.00pm Monday to Friday and from 9.00am to 5.30pm on Saturdays.
